This week, we are talking about A Day in our Life!

We have really crazy work schedules, now week is EVER the same- so our times really this, but I gave ranges of what I do each week. I swear one day I’ll have a normal schedule. Maybe.

7-8ish am-Generally my husband and I workout in the morning before we go to work. It’s basically the only time we have to do so. It’s then or never pretty much!

8:00am- eat breakfast! (YAY!) get ready for work, get to work and do my projects for the day.

1:30pm- finally get to eat lunch! I feel like I wait forever to eat my lunch every day (yes I know I have a problem lol!)

~4:00- teach a fitness class to co workers or leave my first job, relax for an hour or two before I get to my next one (working at a gym). This is a class we did the other day!

5:30 pm cook dinner OR get to 2nd job…work, obviously.

11:00pm is bedtime if I work at night OR i try to get to bed much sooner. I hate working so late because I love to be in bed early to relax or read, but it is what it is right now.

That’s about it during the work week. We sort of run around all crazy but we get a little relaxation on the weekends.

  • What does a day in YOUR life look like? What is your favorite time of day? Mine might be lunch time, haha!

Workout Wednesday: Full Body Tabata Workout

Hey there! Another one of my favorite days of the week! Workout Wednesday.

Another Workout Wednesday Link up! I’m linking up with these great ladies to bring you another workout this week. And also these ladies! Such a good time to get such great workouts!

I’ve been LOVING teaching my fitness classes on Mondays and Wednesdays. This is almost exactly like the class I teach, but in shorter intervals. This particular circuit works the arms with strength moves, and the legs with strength/cardio moves. It is definitely a super sweaty one. Love it!

Untitled (30)

Each time through the circuit should take about 6 minutes. You can choose how many times you want to repeat the circuit based on how long you want to workout. You have probably seen most of these exercises before, but if not, look them up on YouTube OR ask me below in the comments.

Have a great day!

Tasty Tuesday: Parmesan Greek Yogurt Chicken

Another Tasty Tuesday and man this is a good one! :-)

I saw this recipe floating around interest and had to try it and put my own little spin on it. It was perfect for an easy meal during the week. The chicken is tender and juicy!

  1. 4 chicken breasts (I used thin sliced)
  2. 1 cup plain Greek Yogurt
  3. 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  4. 1 tsp oregano
  5. 1 tsp garlic powder
  6. 1/2 tsp salt
  7. 1/2 tsp pepper
  1. Preheat the over to 375. Combine All ingredients in a bowl til mixed. Coat chicken in mixture and place on a baking sheet (Lining with foil is definitely helpful! I let the chicken bake for a good 25-30 minutes, and when I thought they were almost done I turned the over on broil so they got a nice crisp on the outside. Sprinkle with a little more oregano if you like..So good!
I hope you enjoy this recipe. Quick, simple, and delicious!

  • What are you favorite quick meals to make during the week?

Motivational Monday

What gets you ready to tackle the week?

I’ll admit, I worked a lot this weekend and that whole losing an hour of sleep thing did not help my cause, however it will be so nice that it will stay light out later! I’m definitely looking forward to that!

This is something I try to harp on myself in the beginning of the week, because as I see it, it’s a fresh new start. Starting your week off on the right foot, in a positive way is key accomplishing goals and getting it done! I had a long tiring weekend, but I do not want to carry that onto my new week.

New goals are set, workouts planned, meals prepped for the week to help me eat decently healthy throughout the week (with some treats or two :-) ).

  • What do you do to start your week off fresh?

Thoughtful Thursday: On Food & Training

I love food… I could eat it all day, really. I could. There’s not much food I wouldn’t eat. Vegetables aren’t my favorite, but I’m learning to make them in ways that I like them.

However, despite all this, people try to make eating so darn complicated. Truthfully- it shouldn’t be that hard…RIGHT!? (And yes I realize, the actual science & nutrition might be more complicated than I’m making it out to be, but to us average joes, hear me out!)

It helps to always look at food this way:

Food is the fuel we need to live our daily lives, workout hard, and smash our goals.

The simple rules I try to live by:

1. Try not to eat 100% junk all the time. Living by the 80/20 rule is a pretty good guideline.

2. Eat some fruit and vegetables every now and then. Incorporate them into each meal you have. Soon enough it will be habit.

3. Eat when you are hungry and stop when you aren’t. Over stuffing yourself does not feel good, try not to scarf your food down so you can pay attention to the signals your body is  giving you.

4. Treat yo’self. (I miss parks & rec already). You work hard right? A treat isn’t going to hurt you. A piece of pizza will not derail your diet, and you will not gain 60 pounds in one night. What hurts you even more is depriving yourself of food you crave and then going overboard one night and feeling terrible.

That’s it. That’s all I strive to do when dealing with food. Lately I’ve been lifting some HEAVY weight and really power lifting, because of this, I’ve been super hungry! Therefore I’ve been eating more. Work out hard and eat more? I’m good with that. I’ve been trying to get in plenty of protein, healthy carbs…but there’s always room for a treat every now and then :-)

This has to be my new favorite!
